If a card is an Item , Location , or an Action or Song (or both) they will have that word under their name
Sometimes because of their collection value, sometimes because newer cards might be in better condition, and sometimes for the very simple fact that theyre cooler (ie, the art)
This means a Shifted card is more economical to place on the field, and a Shifted character can also challenge on the same turn it is played provided the Ink is dry on the bottom card
Some of them have expensive abilities that would suck to lose
If you are going to a DLC as an attendee it may make more sense to join the scheduled side events during Day 1 and try and get in them during Day 2, which may have a better payout ratio
