The reduced hand size doesnt matter much, but you are drawing the cards and not just placing them in your hand, which has positives and negatives, especially against Orcish Bowmasters

But it can be inconsistent if you dont draw the correct cards in your opening hand

It's a simple effect, but allows for a lot of versatility in battlefield control

If Estrid's Invocation is on the stack, it's put into its owner's graveyard

By itself, the card combines exceptionally well with any token-based strategy (I'm thinking Commander here)
