It can be paid with one mana of any type as long as that mana was produced by a legendary source

All you need is a card like Heartstone or Zirda, the Dawnwaker to reduce the cost of Sliver Queens effect, then cards like Earthcraft or Gemhide Sliver + a haste enabler, and you have access to infinite 1/1s

While their individual power and toughness may not be great, their strength in numbers more than makes up for it

Evendo, Waking Haven (~$20) A planet land from the cycle, simulating the effect of Gaeas Cradle once stationed (based on power of tapped creatures used to add station counters)

She's also a fine commander, and you can do cute things like hand off your zombies with Assault Suit to get around decayed (bonus if the creature then dies and you get it back again!) but I like her more in the 99 personally
